The future of Boulder City is bright. The 25% growth in revenues over the past few years allows for plans to be made for improvements in our City. Additional revenues from current and future solar leases will continue to add to that ability.
The City has suffered from mismanagement of funds in the past. The recent increases in utility rates are reflected in that mismanagement. But the size of the increases is unnecessary. Priorities can now be set to benefit the residents and should not focus on growth projects that benefit a small number of special interests.
We can continue the heritage of Boulder City by determining the path we follow in the next several years. That will encourage new residents to move here and improve the quality of life we enjoy.
